The Definitive Sound Series (DSS) One-Step process has created the definitive audiophile versions of Lionel Richie's Can’t Slow Down. Mastered from the original analog master tapes, this iconic album has never sounded better.

This DSS version is limited to a one-time pressing of 3,000 numbered copies. It includes a heavyweight tip-on jacket and is housed inside a unique slipcase. Special care has been taken to faithfully preserve the original sound with exceptional clarity and depth, capturing the recording's nuances at every step.

Can’t Slow Down has sold over 20 million copies, had 5 singles hit the Top 10 with “All Night Long (All Night) and “Hello” hitting number 1! The album also won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1985. With such staggering success and the passing of time you tend to overlook the production, mixing and playing – the sound!

Recorded primarily at Oceanway Recording Studios and produced by Lionel Richie and James Anthony Carmichael Can’t Slow Down features contributions from Steve Lukather, Jeff Porcaro, Greg Phillinganes and several other top studio musicians anchoring the vocals of Lionel. All vocal arrangements are by Lionel.

Once he heard the original analog master tapes, Chris Bellman was confident, he could achieve an amazing cut. The tapes were in great shape, already assembled and sounded fantastic. Like so many other monumental recordings, this album was originally mastered by Bernie Grundman. The goal was to surpass his original work and create the definitive sounding version of this classic album.
