It's My Thing is the second LP recorded by American funk singer Marva Whitney, who was "Soul Sister #1" of the James Brown Revue from 1967 to 1969. It was first released during her last year of working with Brown, who produced the album, wrote or co-wrote most of the tunes, and even sings a duet with Whitney on "You Got to Have a Job." Marva Whitney shines on all tempos, each of them extraordinarily funky, all of them sources for hip hop sampling making Marva a Soul Sister for all generations. Pressed on 140g virgin vinyl.
