Ravel The Piano Concertos: Seong-Jin Cho on 180g LP

The two piano concertos are the first vinyl release from Korean star pianist Seong-Jin Cho's most ambitious project to date for Deutsche Grammophon: the complete recording of Maurice Ravel's piano works to mark the 150th anniversary of the French composer's birth.

Cho's sensitive interpretations, accompanied by the Boston Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Andris Nelsons, have been acclaimed by audiences and critics worldwide.

"With his crystal-clear touch, Cho is a natural fit for Ravel," writes The New Yorker, and the Financial Times emphasizes: "Cho's strength is that he maintains such a high standard of accuracy and clarity... Ravel playing of such perfection of detail does not come along often."

Ten years after winning the Chopin Competition, Cho's status as one of the most important pianists of our time is confirmed, and the first part of these benchmark recordings are finally available on 180g vinyl.
