The legendary 1954 Fritz Reiner/Chicago Symphony Orchestra performance of a Strauss war horse. Recorded directly to two-track analog by Jack Pfeiffer, the original session tapes were used in mastering for this reissue. Among the very first Living Stereo recordings ever made, these landmark performances document the start of the legendary partnership of Fritz Reiner and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Mastered by Bernie Grundman from the original master tape, cut at 45RPM, and plated and pressed at Quality Record Pressings. No other editions match this for the quietest 180-gram platters available. Each reissue in the RCA Living Stereo 45RPM Series also includes a special two-panel insert.
