Stravinsky - Pulcinella: Claudio Abbado: Original Source Series (180g Vinyl LP)

Stravinsky Pulcinella: Claudio Abbado Original Source Series on 180g LP from Deutsche Grammophon: Pure Analogue Mix, Cut from the Original Tapes at Emil Berliner Studios, Pressed at Optimal

Stravinsky created one of the key works of his neoclassical period in 1920. Commissioned by the impresario Sergei Diaghilev, the ballet is based on characters from the Italian Commedia dell’Arte and combines 18th-century music with Stravinsky’s unmistakably modern musical language. Thanks to its original blend of historical source material, humor and brilliant orchestration, Pulcinella remains one of Stravinsky’s most popular works to this day.

The Original Source Series from Deutsche Grammophon features celebrated recordings reissued on vinyl.
