Made from a blend of cork and rubber, the Audio-Technica AT-SMCR2 slipmat absorbs a wide range of vibrations, especially lower frequencies, and out-performs standard cork slipmats in this regard. The rubber adds mass, creating a stable platform that helps improve tracking and prevent minor skips or jumps. And since the 2mm-thick AT-SCMR2 has excellent antistatic properties, you’ll hear fewer annoying pops and clicks that result from static discharge. AT-SCMR2 measures 11.6 inches in diameter and weighs 96 grams.
