Simply plug your headphones into its 3.5mm single-ended or 4.4mm Pentaconn balanced input on the front panel, sit back, and enjoy, with the former connection delivering 230mW of driving power and the latter 1.65 watts at 32 ohms. And since YBA Design One lasts for up to five-and-half hours on a single charge, you don’t need to worry about juice.

Tuned by Yves-Bernard André and designed in France, this 2.95-pound component features an AKM AK4497S Velvet Sound DAC for clear, rich, detailed sound. Its savvy top-loading mechanism pairs a custom magnetic puck with an HD850 laser pickup and MTE1389EE drive, a combination devised to read all the nuanced information off your SACDs and CDs. A single-piece chassis has customizable mechanical buttons on the top panel and a 2.79-inch color status display for added convenience.

Measuring just 1.58 x 7.40 x 6.53 inches (HWD), YBA Design One packs in a wealth of connectivity on its back panel: A pair of RCA analog outputs; a coaxial output; a 4.4mm balanced line output; and a a USB-C input that doubles as a dedicated DAC mode for computer audio up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD 512 are all here. A disc clamp, USB-A to USB-C cable, USB-C to USB-C cable, and button removal tool are also included.
