Easy to assemble and made with extraordinary attention to detail, Stax 2G provides robust strength and terrific isolation to support everything from turntables to amplifiers, phono preamplifiers, streamers, and more. Silicone isolation pads are integrated between each shelf — and into the base of the support — to defeat the resonances, vibrations, and other distortions that carry through the shelves on most audio racks. Scientifically specified to match a shore hardness determined by the Monitor Audio Group’s engineers, the density of each pad ensures optimal shelf absorption.

Available with a either a 0.375-inch-thick black tempered glass shelf or half-inch-thick ash-veneered plywood shelf (please select from the button menu above), both of which boast inherently positive acoustic attributes and excellent rigidity, Stax 2G also means you’ll listen on the level. Its four feet can be raised or lowered with the supplied and in-house-crafted tool, guaranteeing your gear will rest on a perfectly level surface. Moreover, the foot assembly gives you the option of spikes and integrated rubber feet — letting you choose what works best for your floor. 

Dimensionally, the Stax 2G base measures 4.1875 x 23.6875 x 15.815 inches (HWD) (glass) and 4.3125 x 23.6875 x 15.815 inches (HWD) (plywood). The top two shelves are Stax 2G Shelf 170 models. Each measures 7.1875 x 23.6875 x 15.815 inches (HWD) (glass) and 7.3125 x 23.6875 x 15.815 inches (HWD) (plywood). Shelf 220, which goes between the base and one of the Shelf 170, measures 9.1875 x 23.6875 x 15.815 inches (HWD) (glass) and 9.25 x 23.6875 x 15.815 inches (HWD) (plywood). The base and all shelves all hold up to 88 pounds each. Total dimensions of the Stax 2G four-shelf collection is 27.4375 x 23.6875 x 15.8125 inches (HWD) (glass) and 27.875 x 23.6875 x 15.8125 inches (HWD) (plywood).
