The Doors Morrison Hotel on 180g 45RPM 2LP from Analogue Productions: Cut from the Original Analog Masters by Doug Sax and Overseen by Band Producer/Engineer Bruce Botnick
Released in 1970 in the wake of Jim Morrison’s infamous indecency bust, the Doors next-to-last album Morrison Hotel found the band reinventing themselves as one of the greatest bar bands around with a thrilling bluesy, no-frills approach and harder edged sound. The album shot up to #4 on the charts on the strength of the band standards "Waiting For The Sun," "Roadhouse Blues" "Peace Frog" and "Ship Of Fools."
Analogue Productions presents Morrison Hotel on 180g 45RPM 2LP, pressed at Quality Record Pressings and cut from the original analog masters by Doug Sax. Sax and the Doors producer/engineer Bruce Botnick have gone through a meticulous setup to guarantee a stunning reissue series. These masters were recorded on all-tube equipment, and the tape machine used for the transfer of these releases is also a tube machine, as is the cutting system.
