In 2001, The Black Crowes released their stellar masterwork Lions. Their sixth studio creation featured 13 amazing tunes written by the legendary brothers Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson, and was celebrated by the fans pushing the record into the Top 20 album charts.

Featuring the soon-to-be Black Crowes classics like the Top Ten "Lickin'," "Soul Singing" and "Cosmic Friend," the recording would go on to become one of the most revered albums in their catalog.

Produced by Don Was (Rolling Stones/Was Not Was), the Lions album was recorded in New York City featuring Chris Robinson (lead vocals), Rich Robinson (lead guitar/bass/piano) and Don Was (bass), with Audley Freed on guitar and Steve Gorman on drums.

With its hard rock influences ranging from Led Zeppelin to the more R&B and funk-infused styles of the late '60s, Lions roars on with excitement on every song and truly will continue to do so for years to come.

Mastered from the Melody catalog tapes by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios, this 2LP reissue is pressed on colored vinyl and housed in a gatefold jacket.
