Specifically, V5 Elektra has two high-current outlets for your amplifiers. They are driven by a two-stage high-current power cleaning network consisting of both choke and double Pi filter design. Each of the four remaining medium-current outlets (for your source components) has four independent six-stage delta filter power-cleaning networks that supply almost 20dB of cleaning at 1kHz. This figure improves to almost 40dB at 10kHz — ten times greater than the recommended standard. What’s more, five independent filter stages are placed between each output and are combined with IsoTek’s Adaptive Gating system.
V5 Elektra dramatically lessens both differential mode and common mode noise. Cross contamination of connected components is also kept to a minimum due to the multiple power cleaning stages — and fact that, unlike most designs, the filters do not join the output sockets together, running each in series. Another advantage: The printed circuit board (PCB) design and topology has twice the industry standard copper loading and comes silver-plated to improve amperage and decreased resistance. The circuit in V5 Elektra contributes to a more open and spacious soundstage, detailed microdynamics, and greater detail with more immediate timing.
Also home to a fully star-earthed network and System Link outlet for maintaining the star-earth reference, V5 Elektra reduces RFI by 55dB and delivers 10A of absolute power — and unrestricted current delivery close to 16A. Silver-plated oxygen-free copper wiring with FEP dielectric and an easy-replacement fusing system round out this acclaimed 19.84-pound system.
