Anne-Sophie Mutter, one of the greatest violinists of our time, celebrates her 60th birthday in June 2023. Deutsche Grammophon honors the wonderful artist with a 180g vinyl 5LP box set of her solo concert recordings conducted by her discoverer and early mentor Herbert von Karajan. In addition to Mutter's debut album from 1978 with Mozart concertos (Nos. 3 & 5), concerts by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Bruch and Brahms can also be experienced, each accompanied by the Berlin Philharmonic. The fifth LP contains a live recording of the Tchaikovsky concert with the Vienna Philharmonic from 1988, Anne-Sophie Mutter's last collaboration with Herbert von Karajan. The set comes complete with a 16-page booklet with a text by Dorothea Walchshäusl.
