Description

40th Anniversary Edition Mixes As Mixed/Produced by Steven Wilson and Robert Fripp In 2009-2010 Available On Stand Alone Vinyl for the First Time!

With its raw tone, inspired improvisations and hard hitting odd-metered rhythms, King Crimson's fifth full-length Larks' Tongues In Aspic (1973) is widely regarded as one of the band's truly great albums. The enterprising effort marked a radical departure for this most forward thinking of groups and was the first to include Bill Bruford (Yes) and John Wetton (Family) as band members. Most of the material on the album quickly became established as part of the band's live set with tracks like the title cut and "Talking Drum" often becoming the starting points/springboards for the improvisations integral to King Crimson's elastic performances. This is the intriguing Alt version of the groundbreaking Larks' album (with "Easy Money" mixed by David Singleton and Alex R. Mundy).
