30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition Colored Vinyl 2LP Reissue featuring Original "Explicit" Cover Art with Peelable Scratch 'n' Sniff Sticker and Exclusive Dance of Death Fold Out Poster
Brooding dark-rock icons Type O Negative's groundbreaking early records - like their 1991 debut, Slow, Deep And Hard, 1992's The Origin of the Feces, 1993's platinum Bloody Kisses and 1996's gold-selling October Rust - displayed a sonic Venn Diagram where metal, goth and electro/industrial scenes forged a commonality that was fresh and engaging. The Brooklyn, NY outfit's singular menace, noise, darkness and catharsis would continue to influence for another decade plus until vocalist, bassist, and principal songwriter Peter Steele's death in 2010. The Origin of the Feces was recorded live in the studio with a fictitious audience added in to give the illusion of it being a live album. It features alternative, re-recorded versions of tracks from Slow, Deep and Hard plus a cover of Black Sabbath's "Paranoid." This 30th anniversary colored vinyl 2LP reissue from Run Out Groove features the original "explicit" cover art with a peelable scratch 'n' sniff sticker and also includes an exclusive Dance of Death fold out poster.
